Revolutionary Smart Robot Service Launched in Madinah to Support Pilgrims
In an exciting development, a new smart robot has been introduced in Madinah to assist pilgrims visiting the Prophet’s Mosque. This cutting-edge initiative, spearheaded by the Ministry of Health in Madinah province, aims to enhance the experience and safety of pilgrims through advanced technology and dedicated support services.
Innovative Features of the Smart Robot
The smart robot, strategically located in the courtyard adjacent to the Prophet’s Mosque, is equipped with a variety of features designed to aid pilgrims:
- Educational and Informative Displays: The robot broadcasts important educational messages and guidance, ensuring that pilgrims are well-informed throughout their visit.
- Health and Safety Instructions: It provides critical health and safety instructions, contributing to the well-being of visitors.
- Multilingual Communication: With the ability to communicate in over 96 languages, the robot ensures that pilgrims from around the world can receive assistance in their native tongue.
Comprehensive Support by the Ministry of Health
In addition to the smart robot, the Ministry of Health’s branch in Madinah has mobilized volunteer and awareness teams to offer continuous support. Comprising 220 male and female volunteers, these teams work tirelessly to provide various essential services:
- Health and Emergency Assistance: Available at key locations such as the Prophet’s Mosque, its surrounding roads, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, and Haramain Train Station.
- Support at Significant Mosques: Volunteers also operate at major mosques including Quba, Khandaq, Sayyid Al-Shuhada, and Miqat Dhul-Hulaifah.
Update on Pakistan Hajj Mission (PHM)
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Hajj Mission (PHM) has successfully facilitated the arrival of 98,500 pilgrims to Madinah and Makkah since the beginning of the pre-Hajj 2024 flight operations on May 9. According to Muhammad Umer Butt, spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony:
- Government-Sponsored Arrivals: 62,500 pilgrims have arrived via 236 flights under the government scheme.
- Private Arrangements: More than 36,000 pilgrims have made their journey through private arrangements.
