Naseem Shah Optimistic About Pakistan’s Performance in Upcoming Matches

Pakistan’s young pace sensation Naseem Shah has shared his insights ahead of the crucial Karachi match, emphasizing team confidence, strategy, and preparations for the upcoming challenges, including the much-anticipated clash against India.

“We Are Determined to Win” – Naseem Shah

During a recent press conference in Karachi, Naseem Shah acknowledged Pakistan’s struggles in the previous match but remained hopeful about turning things around.

“The last game didn’t go as planned, but we are determined to make a strong comeback in Karachi,” said Naseem. He stressed the importance of learning from mistakes and ensuring better execution in the next fixture.

Trust in Team & Personal Improvement

Despite recent setbacks, Naseem expressed full confidence in his teammates.

“I have trust in every member of our team, and I believe we will deliver better results moving forward,” he stated.

On a personal level, he revealed his ongoing efforts to improve his batting while maintaining his primary focus on fast bowling.

“I’m working on my batting, but my main priority remains bowling,” he added.

Bowling Strategy & Performance Review

Discussing Pakistan’s bowling approach, Naseem emphasized the effectiveness of maintaining speeds of 145 km/h in One Day Internationals (ODIs).

“Only a few bowlers in the world consistently bowl at high speeds. On our pitches, maintaining an accurate line and length is just as important,” he explained.

He also self-assessed his recent form, admitting that he could have performed better but dismissed criticism based on one or two matches.

“I know my recent performances haven’t been up to my expectations, but it’s unfair to judge an entire effort based on a couple of games,” he remarked.

Pakistan vs. India: Handling Pressure is Key

The upcoming Pakistan vs. India clash remains a highlight of the tournament. When asked about it, Naseem Shah pointed out that both teams face immense pressure, and the one that handles it better will come out victorious.

“Pressure is always there in a Pakistan-India match, but the team that manages it well will succeed. We have come close before, and we’ll work on avoiding past mistakes,” he said.

However, he clarified that the team is focused on the entire tournament, not just one high-profile match.
