Gold prices in Pakistan have hit a new all-time high for the second time this week. According to the All-Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs. 2,900 per tola, reaching Rs. 265,900. Similarly, the price of 10 grams increased by Rs. 2,486, hitting Rs. 227,966. This surge surpasses the previous record high of Rs. 264,000 per tola, recorded on September 11.
In the international market, gold prices have also experienced significant gains. Spot gold increased by 1.7 percent, reaching $2,554.05 per ounce, while US gold futures rose by 1.5 percent, climbing to $2,580.60 per ounce as of 1810 GMT on Thursday. These price hikes reflect the global trend of soaring gold prices, driven by various economic factors and investor demand. As gold continues to be a safe-haven asset, its value remains strong amid market uncertainties.
