Pakistani MBA Student Critically Injured in Texas Hit-and-Run: Community Rallies for Support

Dania Zaheer, a Pakistani student from Karachi, has been critically injured in a hit-and-run accident in Texas, USA. The tragic incident occurred when a speeding vehicle struck her and fled the scene. Despite ongoing efforts by local authorities, the driver has yet to be found.

Dania, who was in the US pursuing her MBA, had been making remarkable progress in her studies. Following the accident, she sustained multiple fractures and is currently receiving treatment at Memorial Hermann Hospital, where she remains hospitalized.

In a heartwarming show of support, Syed Javed Anwar, a well-known Pakistani-American businessman, has stepped forward to cover all of Dania’s medical expenses. His generous contribution ensures that Dania can receive the necessary medical care without the added worry of financial strain.

Additionally, the Pakistani Consul General in the US and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar have offered their support. Deputy Prime Minister Dar has extended an offer to assist Dania’s family with travel arrangements to the US, enabling them to be by her side during her recovery.

This outpouring of support from individuals and organizations highlights the strong sense of community and solidarity between Pakistan and the international community during this challenging time.
