Go Energy Pvt Ltd is gearing up to launch a groundbreaking 500 MW floating solar power project on Keenjhar Lake. This ambitious project is designed to supply clean energy to K-Electric through the Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company (STDC)’s transmission line.
The STDC is collaborating with private firms to enhance the region’s electricity infrastructure, playing a crucial role in addressing local energy needs. Alongside the floating solar project, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been approved for a 600 MW transmission line. This MoU includes the Gul Ahmed Group Power Company and Gul Ahmed Renewable Energy, each contributing 50 MW of power.
These initiatives represent a significant step toward sustainable energy solutions and the enhancement of transmission networks in Sindh. The establishment of these projects underscores the region’s commitment to renewable energy and promises a more reliable and efficient electricity supply.
Additionally, the creation of the Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (SEPRA) highlights ongoing efforts to ensure electricity remains affordable for consumers. SEPRA will oversee procurement processes, ensuring transparency and cost-effectiveness in the energy sector.
