India emerged victorious over Pakistan by six runs in the 19th match of the T20 World Cup at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.
Pakistan, chasing a target of 120 runs set by India, managed to score only 113 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Mohammad Rizwan was the top scorer for Pakistan with 31 runs off 44 balls.
Earlier in the match, Pakistani bowlers leveraged the fast pitch in New York to restrict the Indian batsmen to 119 runs in 19 overs. Despite the favorable bowling conditions, Pakistan’s batting lineup fell short, unable to reach the attainable target.
Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah delivered an impressive performance, taking three wickets in four overs while conceding 21 runs. Haris Rauf also shined, taking three wickets in three overs and conceding 21 runs. Mohammad Amir contributed with two wickets, and Shaheen Shah Afridi took one wicket.
Pakistan had won the toss and chose to field first in this T20 World Cup clash against India at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
